We're not an estate agent so you have the flexibility to list with us and still list with your local agent.
If you list with an agent, but sell privately you won't have to pay a commission, provided that your agreement is "sole agency" (the most common form).

While YouMove has been set up to help people sell their homes we see ourselves as more than a house selling website:- for us, our real objective is educating and empowering people to sell their homes themselves
- we realise that while the internet provides the perfect medium for people to find a buyer privately only a minority actually do so
- we think this is because most people just don't realise how easy it is
- many still believe the myth that selling a house is complicated. But the hard part is the legal side and that's done by your solicitor anyway
That's why educating people is so important to us:
- someone who is educated is empowered
- someone who is empowered has the confidence to choose between selling their own home or paying somebody else to do it for them

If It's FREE To List How Do We Make Money?
- The site makes money when users click through to view third party services listed on the site such as HIP providers and solicitors, etc.
- The site also makes money when users request quotes from third party service providers.
Our Charity Work
We believe it's important to help those in need.Because of this we donate at least 10% of all our profits to charities and organisations that help people and families who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
This means that whenever you click through to a third party service or request a quote, money is going to charity.
There are many reasons why people find themselves homeless including:
- financial difficulties
- mental health problems
- problems with addiction
- the need to flee abuse or domestic violence
- relationship breakdown
- poverty
- natural disasters
We support charities both here in the UK and abroad.
